Though there is no mention of Monday's demonstation outside of Wolverine Meat Packing in the Eastern Market, this article covers the issue of the workers there who were fired after attending the immgrants rights march in Detroit on March 28. That event drew almost 30,000 people according to eye witness reports. Mondays' action at Wolverine drew coverage from CNN radio and local news media, far exceeding the coverage for our local 3rd anniversary of the Iraq war march and rally. Is the immigrants rights issue of greater importance than the war? What do you think?
